Hexis Cyber Solutions Selected as Excellence Award: Threat Solutions Finalist for SC Awards 2015 Europe

HANOVER, Md., April 7, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Hexis Cyber Solutions, Inc. (Hexis), a wholly-owned subsidiary of The KEYW Holding Corporation (Nasdaq:KEYW), and a provider of advanced cybersecurity solutions for commercial companies and government agencies, has been named a finalist in the SC Awards 2015 Europe for outstanding threat solution products and services in information security. Hexis’ HawkEye G is recognized in the Best Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) Protection Solution category, which acknowledges superior products and services that help customers address the most pressing cybersecurity threats. The winners will be announced at the SC Awards Europe ceremony to be held June 2, 2015 in London.

“Nearly a third of UK businesses admitted to a data breach in the last year. And high profile cases here and internationally, from TalkTalk to Target, and health authorities to Sony, cyber attackers showed new levels of sophistication and determination in their attacks in 2014,” said Tony Morbin, Editor-in-Chief, SC Magazine UK. “With mounting headlines, it’s more important than ever to recognize the tireless efforts of the men and women across the globe who work to combat these threats and provide cybersecurity to organizations large and small.”

The SC Awards are the information security industry’s most prominent recognition. Winners in the Threat Solution categories are decided by an expert panel of judges, hand-picked by SC Magazine UK‘s editorial team for their breadth of knowledge and experience in the information security industry. The awards honor both the cybersecurity professionals working in the trenches, and the products and services that help protect today’s corporate world from a myriad of ever-changing threats.

“Having Hexis’ flagship solution, HawkEye G, recognized as a threat solution finalist in the Excellence Awards by SC Magazine UK is a major accomplishment,” said Chris Fedde, president, Hexis Cyber Solutions. “The timing is especially meaningful as we are about to introduce our second generation product after a year of protecting our customers from today’s complex and malicious threats. HawkEye G is an advanced threat investigation and automated threat removal solution. Being nominated as a contender for the Best APT Protection Solution reinforces our message of the importance and need for a continuous threat detection and removal strategy.”

“Cyber attacks seeking to infiltrate and expose sensitive information are a fact of enterprise IT life,” said Tony Morbin, Editor in chief, SC Magazine UK. “Hexis has demonstrated the ability to execute innovative and comprehensive IT security measures to protect companies from the onslaught of malicious attacks.”

Winners of this year’s SC Awards Europe will be announced at a gala dinner and award ceremony to be held in Park Lane, London on June 2, 2015. This is one of the most anticipated IT security events of the year and promises excitement and invaluable networking opportunities with some of the top corporate IT professionals.
